Description
As a Customer Delivery Driver for Waitrose, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality produce and providing excellent customer service to customers in Ampthill.
Your day will typically start in-store, and then you'll be on the road, interacting with customers and ensuring timely deliveries. You will handle customer queries, manage substitutions, and provide refunds when necessary.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing exceptional customer service
- Handling products and deliveries with care
- Building strong relationships with customers
- Conducting vehicle safety checks
- Assisting with general warehouse tasks
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A full, valid UK manual car driving license (B-Category) with no more than 6 penalty points
- Excellent people skills and a friendly approach to customer service
- Physical ability to lift crates, walk up stairs, and move large cages (approximately up to 18kg)
In addition to your contractual pay of £14.31 per hour, you will receive a Night Premium of £3.75 per hour for any time worked between 22:00 and 06:00.
The role is temporary, working 30 hours per week across Monday PM, Thursday AM, Friday PM, and Saturday PM.
