Description
We are seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Accor in Lisbon, Portugal.
As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness, organisation, and presentation of rooms and common areas in the hotel. You will be responsible for executing cleaning tasks, supervising and coordinating the housekeeping team, and reporting to the General Housekeeper.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and prepare rooms according to quality standards and hotel procedures
- Ensure correct presentation of rooms, focusing on guest satisfaction and comfort
- Adhere to hygiene, safety, and cleaning product usage procedures
- Identify and report any anomalies, faults, or maintenance needs in rooms and common areas
Supervision and Coordination Component:
- Coordinate the operational activities of the housekeeping department during absences and holidays of the General Housekeeper
- Organise, distribute, and monitor daily tasks for the housekeeping team
- Supervise and inspect rooms to ensure adherence to brand quality and cleanliness standards
- Collaborate with Reception to prioritise room cleaning, availability, and status
- Support and motivate the team to promote a positive work environment
- Monitor stock levels of amenities, bedding, towels, and cleaning products
- Report significant occurrences and departmental needs to management and the General Housekeeper
Requirements:
- Professional experience in housekeeping, preferably in a hotel setting
- Previous experience in supervisory or team coordination roles is advantageous
- Solid knowledge of cleaning, tidying, and room presentation procedures
- Strong sense of responsibility, organisation, and attention to detail
- Leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Autonomy in resolving operational situations and decision-making
- Team spirit, initiative, and flexibility
- Proficiency in using computers
- Fluency in Portuguese required
- Availability for rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays
