Description
As a Production Operator at 3M, you will have the opportunity to work with innovative people from around the world and make an impact by operating technical equipment, maintaining a safe working environment, and driving process improvements.
The role involves:
- Operating technical equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Maintaining a neat and orderly area and promoting safe working conditions
- Following standard operating procedures to support efficient business operations
- Monitoring equipment and taking action when unusual conditions occur
- Driving hand and power trucks
- Using computers and computer controls to run process operations
- Working cooperatively with others and participating in Lean and process improvement activities
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to work a rotating shift schedule, including days, afternoons, overnights, and weekends
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Two years of experience in Manufacturing or Production
Additional qualifications that could be helpful include:
- Experience working in a manufacturing plant environment
- Self-motivation, teamwork skills, and attention to detail
