Description
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Developer to join our Hybrid Cloud team, leading the innovation agenda and technology roadmap for all of HPE. As a Senior Cloud Developer, you will primarily work from an HPE office and collaborate with customers to reimagine their IT needs and deliver simple, consumable solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead project teams for designing and developing complex products and platforms
- Review and evaluate designs, test plans, and develop code for compliance with cloud design and development guidelines and standards
- Provide tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate risks
- Represent the engineering team in technical forums and provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced team members
- Drive innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities
- Analyze complex data and engineering problems to develop and implement solutions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related quantitative discipline
- Typically, 7-10 years of experience
- Strong JAVA/C++/Golang programming skills
- Expertise in File Systems, Networking, or Distributed storage/compute systems
- Good debugging and problem-solving skills
- Communication skills and the ability to work independently
- Thorough knowledge of the Linux/UNIX and Kubernetes environment
- Proficiency with data structures, algorithms, and multi-threaded programming
- In-depth knowledge of OS internals and storage concepts
- Understanding of microservice architecture and containerized, Kubernetes-managed environments
