Description
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Senior Clinical Fellow to join our dedicated team in Critical Care at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in our two Critical Care units, St Helier ICU and Epsom HDU, and contribute to our education and research programmes.
The post is a 12-month fixed-term contract, with a salary ranging from £67,325 to £76,582 per year. The main aim of the post is to enable the post holder to recognise potentially life-threatening situations and equip them with the knowledge and skills to initiate immediate resuscitative measures.
Key duties and responsibilities include:
- Working in Critical Care department (ICU and HDU) cross-site (Epsom and St Helier)
- Developing research and education skills
- Supporting junior fellows and being supported by consultants
- On-call commitment based on a 1:8 rota at St Helier Hospital, covering ICU and HDU
- Collaborating with the anaesthetic department
The ideal candidate will have:
- Full registration with GMC
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Emergency medicine/General Medicine or one of its branches/Anaesthesia/Critical Care/Surgery at ST1/2 level
- Provider in ATLS, APLS, ALS or similar
