As a Senior Adjuster / Expert(e) en sinistres principal(e), your primary responsibility will be to investigate, evaluate, and quantify insurance claims.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and handling assigned claims while maintaining quality standards
- Conducting thorough investigations, determining coverage and validity of claims, and communicating with policyholders, claimants, and witnesses
- Inspecting damaged sites as needed, engaging external suppliers, and formulating recommendations for provisions
- Preparing reports, negotiating settlements within authorised limits, and participating in mediations and arbitrations as needed
- Maintaining accurate records in compliance with company norms and procedures
- Managing billing and ensuring timely and accurate payment of claims
- Assisting in local marketing efforts, attending professional and social events, and developing new business opportunities
- Demonstrating excellent mathematical reasoning and analytical skills
- Working effectively in a remote or home-based environment
- Participating in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on industry changes and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education
- Obtention or working towards obtaining a PAA title
- Valid driver's license
- Demonstrated expertise in claims adjustment and negotiation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in computer applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
