We are seeking an Assistant Chef to join our team at Tadworth Grove Care Home. As an Assistant Chef, you will play a vital role in delivering an excellent dining experience for our residents.
About the Role: The Assistant Chef will work in our kitchen team to prepare and cook meals for our residents, ensuring that all dishes meet their dietary needs and preferences. You will be responsible for training and managing the kitchen team, adhering to COSHH and HACCP guidelines, and managing orders and deliveries.
Responsibilities:
- Using your passion for cooking and fresh ingredients to create varied and nutritional menus
- Putting forward ideas to deliver an excellent dining experience for our residents
- Training and managing the kitchen team in prepping, cooking, and serving food
- Adhering to COSHH and HACCP guidelines, company policies and procedures, budgets, managing orders and deliveries
- Catering for special events or seasonal activities, such as summer fetes, Christmas parties, and birthdays
Requirements:
- A passion for cooking with previous experience working in a fresh food kitchen and relevant hygiene certificates
- Ability to create and deliver an excellent dining experience at each meal
- Open to new ideas and innovative approaches to cooking
- Excellent communication skills
