Description
Working as a Target Security Specialist means helping to keep guests, team members, and the brand secure. You will use intelligence-led tactics to prevent and resolve theft and fraud, and respond to crisis events. As a Security Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing a welcoming and secure shopping experience for guests
- Responding to security incidents and documenting them accurately
- Using de-escalation tactics and resources to manage security situations
- Conducting merchandise theft recoveries and providing theft apprehension support
- Preventing theft and shortage at the front of the store
- Submitting documentation in the case management system for all incidents
- Understanding and using Target's video surveillance system
- Demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
This role requires:
- Being at least 18 years old
- Having a high school diploma or equivalent
- Meeting state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements
- Having a welcoming and helpful attitude towards guests and team members
- Being able to communicate effectively and work independently and as part of a team
- Being able to manage workload and prioritize tasks independently
- Being capable of remaining focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
In terms of physical demands, you will need to be able to:
- Climb up and down ladders
- Apprehend subjects in accordance with company policy
- Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely
- Work in a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Be mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift
The starting hourly rate is $19.25 USD per hour, with a pay range of $19.25 USD - $28.90 USD per hour.
