At Braze, we're a customer engagement platform that helps brands deliver great customer experiences. We're looking for a Software Engineer II to join our WhatsApp team.
As a Software Engineer II, you will work on building, scaling, and expanding Braze's suite of global messaging channels, including WhatsApp, LINE, and Kakao. You will be responsible for building out new features, improving performance, and providing guidance on key architectural decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Build out new features for our messaging channels
- Improve performance and optimize our systems for resilience as they scale
- Provide guidance on key architectural decisions
- Work with your teammates to tackle significant engineering challenges
Requirements:
- 2-4 years of full-stack development experience
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, data structures, and algorithms
- Self-starter with great communication and organizational skills
- Prior experience working in a team environment
Nice to Have:
- Professional experience with Ruby, Rails, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq, React, TypeScript
- Professional experience building distributed systems at scale
- Experience with agile processes
