Description
Charles River Associates is seeking a Systems Engineer to join their Information Technology team. The successful candidate will design, build, and support CRA's core infrastructure across on-premises and public cloud environments, focusing on Dell compute, Everpure storage, Windows Server, and VMware vSphere.
The Systems Engineer will partner closely with network, security, application, and service delivery teams to keep systems reliable, secure, well-documented, and current. Responsibilities include:
- Deploying, configuring, and maintaining Dell PowerEdge servers across their lifecycle
- Administering Everpure storage arrays, including volume and host provisioning, capacity and performance management, snapshot policies, replication, and upgrades
- Building, configuring, patching, and hardening Windows Server systems
- Managing vCenter, ESXi hosts, clusters, HA/DRS, templates, and the virtual machine lifecycle
- Deploying and supporting workloads in public cloud (Azure preferred)
- Maintaining monitoring, alerting, and dashboards for infrastructure platforms
- Participating in incident response and root cause analysis
- Supporting disaster recovery readiness
Desired qualifications include hands-on experience with Dell PowerEdge servers, Everpure storage, Windows Server administration, VMware vSphere, and public cloud deployment.
