Description

We are looking for an eCommerce Trading Lead to join our eCommerce UK Trading team, focusing on Home Brands. As an eCommerce Trading Lead, you will play a key part in bringing the brand's product to life on the website and championing the customer for partner brands.

You will work closely with different teams across eCommerce, product, and the wider business - using these great relationships to drive forward marketing and customer experience on site - always ensuring everything we do is commercial.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the key representative for home brands, managing your assigned brands like an independent business to optimise sales performance.
  • Set and drive the commercial strategy for your branded trading areas, taking primary accountability for daily trading.
  • Monitor key performance metrics (such as conversion, traffic, sales, and funnel drop-offs) on a brand level to deliver weekly trading insights to stakeholders.
  • Plan engaging marketing campaigns covering owned channel marketing and working with paid marketing teams.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal product teams and direct brand partners through regular updates and meetings.
  • Advocate for your brands within the eCommerce team to drive growth across Next's UK site and Total Platform (TP) websites.
  • Champion the customer journey by translating technical product specifications into engaging, customer-friendly language.
  • Propose data-driven optimisation ideas and testing strategies (such as sort orders, navigation, and marketing campaigns) to boost conversion.
  • Conduct regular market research to analyse competitor brand activity and ensure the eCommerce site remains highly competitive.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills, experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors, and proficiency with eCommerce platforms and analytics tools.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience of working within an eCommerce Fashion/Home/Beauty Trading role.
  • A sharp commercial eye and a genuine passion for Fashion and Home trends.
  • Analytical mindset to turn performance stats into smart commercial moves, paired with a creative spark and interest in marketing to get customers excited.
  • Thorough and organised under pressure - able to juggle tight deadlines, keep up with fast-paced shifts, and stay calm when priorities change.
  • Great communicator who loves working as part of a team, bringing energy to collaborative projects, and jumping headfirst into a challenge.

Benefits:

  • 25% off most NEXT, MADE, Lipsy, Gap, and Victoria's Secret products
  • Company performance-based bonus
  • Sharesave scheme
  • On-site Nursery available; OFSTED outstanding in all areas
  • 10% off most partner brands & up to 15% off Branded Beauty
  • Early VIP access to sale stock
  • Access to fantastic discounts at our Staff Shops
  • Restaurants with great food at amazing prices
  • Access to a digital GP and other free health and wellbeing services
  • Free on-site parking
  • Financial Wellbeing - Save, track, and enhance your financial wellbeing
  • Apprenticeship - Grow and develop on the job whilst gaining a qualification
  • Direct to Work - Discount online and in-store, collect your items the next day for free from your place of work or local store
  • Support Networks - Access to Network Groups to empower and celebrate each other
