Description
Faculty is looking for a Senior Manager to join its Defence team, which focuses on building and embedding human-centered AI solutions to give the UK a competitive edge in the defence sector. The successful candidate will lead critical work for Defence clients, manage complex programmes, and develop compelling proposals to grow the Defence and National Security portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the delivery of multiple, complex programmes of work for Defence clients
- Overseeing a diverse portfolio of projects across multiple facets of the Defence enterprise
- Developing and owning compelling, mission-focused proposals to grow the Defence and National Security portfolio
- Mentoring and developing team members
- Working strategically to deliver meaningful operational outcomes and improved decision-making for Defence organisations
- Forming strong, trusted relationships with senior military and civilian customers
- Advising clients on AI strategy and technical implementation
Requirements:
- Experienced Senior Manager with a proven background in managing complex, large-scale transformation programmes
- Significant experience in the Defence space, possibly gained through a career in the Armed Forces, Government, academia, or industry roles
- Track record of shipping digital products and possessing expertise required to get AI-enabled services over the line within a Government or Defence context
- Deep interest in AI and ML concepts and ability to think creatively about their application
- Technical nous to engage confidently with senior stakeholders on engineering concepts and the practicalities of deploying AI at scale
- Understanding of the commercial consulting delivery model
