At GDIT, you're part of a team that's making a difference. As a Software Quality Assurance Specialist/Applications Tester, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the mission is never interrupted.
You'll work with the development team to create test strategies and customized solutions, collect and develop test data, document test strategies and results, and engage with complex and data-heavy test scenarios.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing user permissions and access controls using LDAP or Active Directory
- Demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and approaching challenges with creativity and effective solutions
- Participating in Agile/Scrum development environments and utilizing issue and bug tracking tools like Jira
- Conducting testing of web-based and cloud applications to ensure performance and reliability
- Writing, modifying, and maintaining comprehensive test cases
- Writing SQL queries to retrieve and analyze data from relational databases
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure client requirements are met
- Researching technical issues, identifying root causes, and proposing effective solutions
- Demonstrating a strong aptitude for quickly learning new technologies and tools
- Communicating clearly and professionally, both in writing and verbally
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Experience with creating test plans and documenting test results
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Understanding of relational database design
- Experience working with a government client
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph
