Description
We are seeking a Senior Consultant - Legal to provide operational and legal support to our Asia legal division, focusing on reviewing and negotiating construction industry contracts.
The ideal candidate will be organised, display excellent written and communication skills, and have the ability to apply independent judgment.
Responsibilities:
- Review a full range of contracts and associated documents
- Provide clear and concise feedback on contract risks and conduct follow-up calls with colleagues
- Proactively manage and lead negotiations
- Establish and maintain good professional relationships with the business and external parties
- Maintain awareness of the legislative and regulatory environment relating to WSP's current operations
Qualifications:
- Qualified lawyer with 6+ years of legal experience in construction law
- Proficient in English (oral and written)
- Experienced in negotiating complex commercial agreements
- Highly developed communication skills
- Ability to act commercially and balance commercial and operational imperatives with legal risk
- Ability to work as a member of a team and independently
- Exposure to Asia clients is desirable
