Engineering Manager, Accounting Infrastructure and Systems

The Manager of Engineering for Accounting Infrastructure and Systems leads a team responsible for building and maintaining scalable backend systems, data pipelines, and integrations that power DoorDash's accounting, reconciliation, and financial reporting workflows.

You will own the strategic roadmap and execution for DoorDash's accounting infrastructure, including data pipelines, system integrations, and automation platforms that power financial reporting, reconciliation, and compliance at scale.

Key responsibilities include:

• Partnering with Accounting, Finance, and cross-functional engineering teams to translate complex regulatory and operational requirements into reliable, auditable backend systems.
• Leading and mentoring a team of engineers, setting technical direction and fostering a high-performance culture within a fast-moving, high-stakes financial environment.
• Driving measurable improvements in data accuracy, pipeline reliability, and system scalability , directly enabling faster close cycles and audit readiness across the organisation.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in data or software engineering, including 2+ years leading engineering teams, ideally within fintech, marketplace, or high-growth tech environments.
• Hands-on expertise with modern data infrastructure tools (e.g., Fivetran, dbt Cloud, Snowflake, Workato).
• Strong working knowledge of financial processes , including revenue recognition, reconciliation, and close workflows.
• Clear communication skills to align diverse partners around complex technical tradeoffs and delivery timelines.
