Description
As a Customer Experience Manager at Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd, you will be responsible for taking ownership of the overall customer experience across the store. You will ensure that customer commitments are met, manage the front-end checkout operation, and oversee operations in the petrol station if applicable.
You will also be responsible for people management, including managing performance and capability, conducting disciplinaries, and ensuring scheduling and pay are accurate. At times, you may assume overall responsibility for running the store, providing direction and support to colleagues to deliver for customers.
The ideal candidate will have previous line management responsibilities in a fast-paced, operational environment, with a focus on customer service and experience. You will be able to coach a team to deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive high performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Taking responsibility for the overall customer experience across the store
- Managing the front-end checkout operation
- Managing operations in the petrol station (if applicable)
- People management, including performance and capability management
- Conducting disciplinaries and ensuring scheduling and pay accuracy
- Assuming overall responsibility for running the store at times
The successful candidate will have:
- A track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences
- Experience leading teams in a dynamic, customer-facing environment
- Leadership experience in a high-volume, fast-paced operational setting
- Proven success in delivering against a wide range of KPIs
- Experience managing complex people matters
