As a Senior Energy Market Analyst, you will be part of the Americas – Data and Insights team, supporting Energy Exemplar's growth in North America by identifying customer use cases, shaping go-to-market strategies, and providing thought leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and oversee production of energy market models using PLEXOS
- Understand customer challenges, propose solutions, and develop products using Energy Exemplar tools and datasets
- Provide thought leadership and identify customer use cases
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to drive business growth
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience with direct Energy Modeling and Power Market Analysis
- Hands-on modeling experience in several ISOs (e.g., ERCOT)
- Experience with nodal power flow modeling and ability to discuss nodal concepts such as LMPs, congestion, contingencies, LODF, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research and learn new techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and similar tools
- Experience with Python a plus
