Boeing Defense, Space, & Security (BDS) is seeking an Electrophysics Engineer/Scientist – (Experienced, Lead, or Senior) to join the Space Electronics One Boeing & New Business team located in El Segundo, California.
You will be part of a team of Technical Experts leading supplier design engineering teams in developing and executing innovative solutions for RF Microwave units, TWTAs, Rate Sensors, Photonics, and other new and emerging technologies across multiple domains.
This position utilizes experience developing electrical, rf, and/or electro-optical units, leading multi-skilled engineering teams to execute new product designs, resolving technical issues, executing failure analyses, providing supplier technical oversight and supporting spacecraft integration and flight deployment of a variety of units.

Responsibilities
- Lead supplier design engineering teams in developing and executing innovative solutions for RF Microwave units, TWTAs, Rate Sensors, Photonics, and other new and emerging technologies
- Develop electrical, rf, and/or electro-optical units
- Lead multi-skilled engineering teams to execute new product designs
- Resolve technical issues and execute failure analyses
- Provide supplier technical oversight
- Support spacecraft integration and flight deployment of a variety of units
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment
- An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required
Preferred Qualifications
- 9+ years of related engineering experience for Lead, Level 4
- 15+ years of related engineering experience for Senior, Level 5
- Active Tier 5/SSBI
- Experience working with suppliers for space applications
- Product design experience
- Design or test experience with electronic units, RF microwave units, TWTAs, rate sensors, and/or photonic components/units
- Project engineering, project management or integrated product team leadership experience
