WSP's Energy business is seeking a Technical Lead – Engineering Design Manager to join their team in Ireland, focusing on expanding their Electricity Transmission & Distribution service line.
The successful candidate will lead the growth of the business in Ireland, manage existing projects, and secure new opportunities. Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions
- Establishing and leading a capable design team focused on HV/MV infrastructure projects
- Managing design delivery, ensuring compliance with project objectives, safety requirements, and regulatory frameworks
- Providing technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle
- Overseeing adherence to relevant standards and client specifications
- Delivering progress updates to senior stakeholders
- Defining and controlling project scope
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards it
- Experience in HV and MV Electrical Design related to Ireland's Electricity Transmission System
- Management skills, including leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams
- Proven track record in managing and delivering projects successfully
- Expertise in bid management and proposals
- Strong client interfacing skills
