Description
As an Optical Manager at Asda, you will oversee the entire operation of the optical department, ensuring high-quality patient service. Your responsibilities will include managing a team of Optometrists and Optical assistants, overseeing compliance processes and procedures, reviewing sales forecasting and department targets, and dealing with customer queries.
You will also be responsible for clinic management and managing the shop floor process to ensure the department is well-equipped for customers' needs. Working in close partnership with an Optometrist, you will coach and develop your team, so being confident in coaching others will be key to this role.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a fully qualified dispensing optician registered with the GOC, on track to meet the statutory points requirement for CPD, confident in coaching others, able to provide excellent customer and patient care, driven and ambitious to ensure the department meets its targets, and have proven leadership skills in a fast-paced optics environment.
