The Marketplace and App Experience domain is the main pillar of our core consumer strategy, driving the user journey across all of our frontend surfaces: Mobile and Web.
As a Senior Software Engineer, Fullstack (App Experience), you will be at the forefront of our front-end facing cross-team projects, working closely with other teams and engineers across our mobile and web technologies, while also evolving and collaborating with every product experience team at Affirm.
Responsibilities:
- Break down larger projects into individual tasks, deliver them in multiple phases, and collaborate with others to ensure timely delivery of your work.
- Support peers and stakeholders in the product development lifecycle by collaborating with product management, design & analytics.
- Support the operations and availability of your team’s artifacts by creating and monitoring metrics, escalating when needed, and supporting “keep the lights on” & on-call efforts.
- Contribute to a sense of community on your team by engaging in growth and development activities.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience as a software engineer.
- Experience shipping web apps using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue.
- Experience shipping mobile apps using native or cross-platform languages like React Native.
- Experience designing, developing and launching APIs at scale using languages like Kotlin or Python.
- Mastered taking a simple problem or business scenario into a solution that interacts with multiple software components.
- Comfortable navigating a large code base, debugging others' code, and providing feedback to other engineers through code reviews.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
