ACCEL Schools is hiring a highly qualified Daily Substitute Teacher at Bridges Preparatory Academy in Tiffin, Ohio. The teacher will provide a superior education for all students, creating a positive classroom environment that prioritizes student learning and social-emotional development.
Bridges Preparatory Academy is a public charter school offering EK-8th grade students a well-rounded education with hands-on learning, theatre arts, and outdoor education. The school features small class sizes, a fully certified and licensed faculty, and annual school traditions.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and delivering lesson plans, modifying them as needed
- Differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all students
- Maintaining accurate records of students' progress and development
- Utilizing research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction
- Managing student behavior and creating a positive classroom environment
- Implementing school-wide culture expectations and communicating with families
- Incorporating technology skills into daily classroom practice
- Participating in non-instructional activities and collaborating with colleagues
Requirements:
- Active Ohio teaching license in the appropriate content area
- Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
- High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to properly manage confidential information and supervise students
- Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
- Experience working within an urban environment
