Description
We are seeking a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our Bud Flanagan West haemato-oncology ward team. As a Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for planning, documenting, delivering, and evaluating evidence-based nursing care for patients. You will work as part of a highly skilled and motivated team, including nurses, doctors, AHPs, and education teams.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be proactive, and demonstrate a desire to learn and understand the complex pathways of patients undergoing treatment. Experience in a haematology environment is desirable.
Key responsibilities include:
- Completing the first level assessment of patients' needs
- Assisting with teaching patients in preparation for investigations, treatment, and home care
- Being aware of the side effects of treatment and adopting a problem-solving approach
- Delivering skilled specialised nursing care with supervision until competent

The salary for this role is £36,943 to £44,900 per annum.
