Description
Leidos' Defense Systems Manufacturing Segment is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for 2nd Shift to join its National Space Systems Integration and Test team in Huntsville, AL.
The Manufacturing Engineer will participate in leading the planning and execution of electrical floor operations and develop automated test scripts, procedures, and documentation for spaceflight instrument testing.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Manufacturing Orders to meet project schedules.
- Implement procedures to transform raw materials into finished products efficiently.
- Use MES software (Solumina) to track and control manufacturing processes.
- Generate and maintain Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOMS).
- Generate routings inside Solumina for accurate run times.
- Identify and execute continuous improvement projects.
- Identify and reduce risks in production processes.
- Plan and maintain production flow through the MRP system.
- Execute Configuration and Data Management processes.
- Define manufacturing processes and production flow for space products.
- Coordinate production workflow and resolve production-related problems.
- Monitor production status and report job status to management.
- Oversee and optimize the production process.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Operations Leads, and Inventory Control.
- Expedite jobs and clear material shortages.
- Manage ISO9001/AS9100 processes.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 0+ years of experience or Master's degree.
- Experience with manufacturing, assembly, and integration of electrical, electromechanical, and mechanical components.
- Ability to work collaboratively and obtain a Final Secret Clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with test operations and setup of GSE.
- Experience with manufacturing, assembly, integration, and test processes.
- Experience with electronics assembly processes and equipment.
- Experience with project scheduling, Agile, Windchill, and Solumina MES software.
- Experience working in a clean room and with ISO9001/AS9100 processes.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Pay Range: $50,700.00 - $91,650.00
