Working as a Starbucks Barista at Target means being part of a team that provides a consistent experience for guests. You will be responsible for creating an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience, delivering high-quality beverages and food, and maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a welcoming experience for guests and team members
- Prepare and serve high-quality beverages and food
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to food safety and health guidelines
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritising tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
- Support team efforts and assist peers in other areas
- Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience
- Uphold and maintain the execution of Food & Beverage Standards
- Execute food and beverage processes, including replenishment, inventory accuracy, and data accuracy
- Follow all Target and Starbucks routines to deliver a consistent experience for guests
- Maintain an inviting dining area for guests throughout your shift
- Engage with guests to meet and exceed their expectations
- Produce handcrafted beverages and food to specifications
- Follow all food safety requirements and complete cleaning tasks
- Locate and identify damaged or recalled items and process according to best practices
- Ensure accurate inventory and execute sampling best practices
- Complete all required training requirements and certifications
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
Requirements:
- Previous Starbucks or food service experience preferred but not required
- Welcoming and helpful attitude towards guests and team members
- Ability to communicate effectively and operate technology equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
- Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues
- Interpret instructions and reports
- Accurately handle cash register operations
- Climb up and down ladders if needed
- Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely
- Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures and conditions
