We’re growing our Mechanical Building Services team in Adelaide and are looking for an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer ready to take the next step in their career.

Our Property & Buildings team delivers multidisciplinary engineering solutions across a broad range of sectors, including commercial, defence, education, healthcare, data centres, civic and major infrastructure projects.
Based in Adelaide, you’ll join a collaborative Building Services team where you’ll contribute to the design and delivery of mechanical systems while gaining exposure to technically challenging projects.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll work closely with senior engineers, designers and other disciplines to deliver practical, sustainable and high-quality engineering solutions.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Support the delivery of mechanical building services projects from concept design through to completion
- Develop designs for HVAC, ventilation, heating, cooling and associated mechanical systems
- Prepare calculations, specifications, reports and design documentation
- Work collaboratively with electrical, fire, hydraulics, structural and other engineering disciplines
- Assist with project coordination to meet scope, budget and program requirements
- Undertake site inspections and provide technical support during construction
- Liaise with clients, architects, contractors and other project stakeholders
- Apply the NCC, relevant Australian Standards and industry requirements to your designs
- Contribute to technical excellence and continuous improvement within the Mechanical team
Requirements
You will bring:
- 3–6 years’ experience in mechanical building services engineering
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience designing HVAC, ventilation, heating, cooling and associated building services systems
- Experience within an Australian engineering consultancy or similar building services environment
- Exposure to sectors such as commercial, defence, healthcare, education, data centres or infrastructure will be highly regarded
- Working knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC) and relevant Australian Standards
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A collaborative approach and willingness to continue developing your technical and project delivery capabilities
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams
