Description
Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking an HPC Technical Consultant to join our team in Memphis, TN. As an HPC Technical Consultant, you will perform on-site repair and maintenance activities on HPC compute, network, and storage hardware.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing tickets for hardware actions needed and claiming them for action
- Interacting with the ticket system to document actions taken and passing tickets to the next step
- Completing training on specialized compute hardware, network, and storage components
- Reading system documentation and diagrams to identify specified components within the system
- Collaborating with team members using face-to-face, phone, and online communication
- Performing hardware actions, such as component replacement from spares
- Operating hand tools and low-power tools
- Selecting and maintaining tools in an organized way on-site
- Lifting and moving parts and equipment up to 50 lbs individually and up to 75 lbs with another person
- Occasionally operating a pallet jack to move inventory
- Assisting with system installation activities
- Interfacing with parts inventory managers if applicable
- Working with Motivair and Vertiv CDU
The successful candidate will have:
- A high school graduate diploma
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Familiarity with hand tools
- Experience with computer hardware and data centers preferred

The expected salary range for this position is $62,900 - $145,300 per year.
