Description
Leidos' Defense Group is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler to support logistics operations at the Naval Array Technical Support Center (NATSC) in Newport, Rhode Island.
The Warehouse Material Handler will be responsible for:
- Loading and unloading vehicles and transporting materials safely throughout the facility.
- Receiving, inspecting, issuing, and storing materials according to established procedures.
- Maintaining accurate inventory records using electronic and paper-based systems.
- Performing daily inventory audits and cycle counts.
- Operating hand trucks, pallet jacks, and powered material handling equipment.
- Packaging and preparing materials for shipment.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
- Following all safety, quality, and security procedures.
The successful candidate will have:
- A high school diploma or GED.
- U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
- A demonstrated willingness to learn and follow established procedures.
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with standard office equipment.
- The ability to lift up to 30 pounds without assistance.
- A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
Previous warehouse experience is helpful but not required. The salary for this position is $19.33 per hour.
