Priory Hospital Ty Cwm Rhondda has an opportunity for a Cook NVQ3 standard with an Intermediate Food Safety Certificate to join our team. Working Saturday, Sunday, Monday. Includes bank holidays.
The hospital, located in South Wales, is accessible by public transport, with a bus stop at the end of the street and two train stations within a five-minute walk, with links into Cardiff and wider regional connections.
Key Responsibilities
As a Cook, you'll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and support the wellbeing of our patients. Your role is vital in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Organising stock ordering and rotation efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Developing varied and interesting menus that consider healthy eating guidelines and dietary requirements.
- Monitoring the Unit's catering budget within Priory standards, ensuring best value and quality of ingredients in consultation with the line manager.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Essential for the role:
- Experience of preparing and cooking meals in a professional kitchen environment.
