Description
As a Senior MLOps Engineer at Trainline, you will play a leading technical role in helping teams adopt and operate ML and AI tooling. You will work on systems that are already being built and used across Trainline, focusing on infrastructure and tooling behind internal ML/AI platforms and customer-facing products.
Responsibilities:
- Take a leading technical role in helping teams across Trainline adopt and operate ML and AI tooling
- Support AI infrastructure, working with teams building internal platforms and customer-facing products
- Build and drive adoption of standard ways to deploy ML and AI products
- Automate modernisation of services across products
- Strengthen MLOps foundations by improving cost tracking, reducing costs, and addressing security vulnerabilities
- Contribute to technical strategy and communicate technical decisions clearly
- Mentor fellow engineers and share knowledge
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with IaC and CI/CD tooling (e.g. Terraform, GitHub Actions)
- Experience with containerised workloads using Docker and cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience productionising AI products, including agentic systems and AIOps tooling
- Experience with managed or self-hosted ML infrastructure (e.g. Amazon SageMaker, feature stores)
- Experience writing production-quality, tested Python code
- Clear communication and prioritisation skills
Nice to haves:
- Knowledge of cloud topics such as networking fundamentals and identity and access management
- Experience with Trainline's wider tech stack and partners
