Description
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Mental Health Practitioner to join our Children and Young People's Services (CYPS), now known as Mindworks Hub East. As a Mindworks Hub Clinical Practitioner, you will work as part of a highly supportive, friendly, and innovative team covering the East of Surrey, including Leatherhead and Redhill.
The successful candidate will be professionally registered with NMC as a Registered Mental Health Nurse, HCPC, or SWE, and have significant experience of working with under 18-year-olds. You will work autonomously, undertaking clinical assessments of children and young people with complex co-morbid mental health needs, and providing consultations where necessary.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting mental health assessments
- Implementing risk management plans
- Delivering evidence-based group interventions
- Using outcome measures to evidence good practice
- Supervising and supporting student nurses
The post holder will work closely with the Mindworks Alliance, including School-Based Needs, Surrey Well Being Partnership, and other agencies during office hours, responding to referrals of young people presenting in need. The successful candidate will be able to manage their own caseload from referral to discharge/transfer, holding medium to high-risk cases in liaison with the MDT.
In return, we offer a competitive salary of £41,957 to £50,387 per annum, inclusive of 5% fringe HCAS pro-rata, and a range of benefits.
