Description
WSP is seeking a Transportation Management Center (TMC) Operations Manager to support the client with management and coordination of Transportation Manager Center Operations.
The successful candidate will work full-time on-site at the client site in Nashville, TN, managing daily operations activities in accordance with client Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), protocols, and policies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing day-to-day operations staff and resources, including problem resolution and staff scheduling
- Ensuring operations are conducted within design parameters, client SOPs, and industry standards
- Participating in Incident Management meetings and coordinating interagency efforts
- Collaborating with Tennessee DOT's motorist assist service providers and dispatch operations
- Preparing monthly performance reports for Operators and Shift Leaders
- Developing and updating Operator training and certification materials
- Hiring, terminating, promoting, and evaluating office personnel
- Overseeing Operator training and certification processes
- Ensuring adequate Operator staff coverage
- Assisting with operations center public relations activities
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 3 years of experience in Transportation Operations, Public Safety, Incident Management, or a similar environment
- Demonstrated ability to provide formal training and monitor subordinate performance
- Proficiency in Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively
- Flexibility to work alternate schedules and be on-call 24/7
