Description
As a Partner on our service counters at Waitrose & Partners in Hereford, you'll have the opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge and passion for food while feeling proud of how it is ethically sourced. You'll recommend recipes for customers to try and actively bring our ethos - passionate Partners serving food lovers - to life.
You'll use your enthusiasm and friendliness to build lasting relationships with your customers, making all the difference to their impression of the Waitrose brand and keeping them returning by earning their trust and loyalty.
Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for your own food counter, ensuring high presentation and hygiene standards.
- Manage stock levels to ensure popular products are always available.
- Handle open food with care, following health & safety protocols and reducing food wastage.
- Maintain knowledge of new products and understand Waitrose's food values, such as animal welfare.
- Support the wider shop team with general tasks when required.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively as part of a team and with customers.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in a customer-facing role.
- Experience in a catering or hospitality environment.
- Up-to-date knowledge and strong interest in food and drink trends.
- Flexible approach to support the whole branch.
Additional Information
- Pay: £13.00 (£13.25 after 90 days)
- Contract Type: Permanent
- Hours of Work: Varied hours of part-time work across seven days, including early starts, late finishes, evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays between 06:00-20:30
- Night Premium: £3.75 per hour for work between 22:00-06:00
