Description
You will be part of the Material Information Management team within Ansys, now part of Synopsys. This team works at the center of digital engineering transformation, partnering with customers across aerospace, automotive, consumer electronics, and other industries to modernize how they manage, share, and leverage materials data.
The role involves serving as a senior technical expert on Material Information Management implementations, guiding customers through deployment, integration, and adoption across their engineering environments. You will work directly with engineering, IT, and product development teams to integrate materials data platforms with PLM systems, CAE tools, and enterprise databases.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serving as the senior technical expert on Material Information Management implementations
- Integrating materials data platforms with PLM systems, CAE tools, and enterprise databases
- Translating complex data architecture and workflow challenges into clear recommendations
- Leading technical workshops and strategy sessions
- Partnering with product management and development teams to influence the MIM product roadmap
- Mentoring applications engineers and contributing to internal knowledge sharing
- Diagnosing and resolving technical issues across materials data systems

Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in engineering software, technical consulting, or engineering roles
- Deep understanding of how data flows across the engineering lifecycle
- Direct experience with Material Information Management platforms or enterprise materials data management systems
- Working knowledge of engineering data management, PLM integration workflows, or digital engineering transformation projects
- Familiarity with database systems, data modeling concepts, and API-based integrations
- Experience with CAE tools, PLM platforms, or materials data management software is a strong plus
- Exposure to agile or iterative project delivery methodologies is a plus
