Description
We are seeking a Substation Physical Engineer to join our team at Leidos. As a Substation Physical Engineer, you will work on projects for electric utilities at voltages from 12kV up to 500kV. This role involves designing substation electrical projects using knowledge of digital logic design, AC and DC circuits.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field with two or more years of related substation physical design experience. Experience with grounding studies, lightning protection, and lighting studies is desirable.
Responsibilities include:
- Executing substation physical projects
- Performing quality control checks on substation physical design projects
- Reading and designing substation physical drawings
- Creating and checking bills of materials for substation physical projects
- Attending site visits at customer locations

The pay range for this role is $69,550.00 - $125,725.00.
