Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Transmission Line Design Engineer to join our team in Rochester, NY. As a Senior Transmission Line Design Engineer, you will contribute to the design and delivery of high-quality transmission solutions for major utility and energy clients.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing transmission line design and engineering consulting services to clients
- Designing electrical transmission facilities, including line layout, foundations, and structure configuration
- Preparing project specifications for material and equipment purchase and installation
- Delivering accurate and thorough substations and control houses designs that meet industry standards
- Reviewing internal and external designs for code compliance and constructability
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a closely related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in transmission line design within utility or power delivery environments
- Engineer in Training Certification
- Relevant experience in transmission line design and a working knowledge of PLS-Cadd
- Ability to work full-time on-site at the client office in Rochester or Binghamton, NY
