Description
We are seeking an LGV 2 Driver to join our team at Biffa Waste Services, based in Trafford Park, England. As an LGV 2 Driver, you will be responsible for driving various modes of LGV vehicles, including front and back loaders, collecting and emptying bins from our trade waste customers.
This is a great opportunity to work outdoors, using your own initiative, and making a difference to the local environment and communities. You will be working as part of a single-person crew.
Responsibilities:
- Drive LGV vehicles, including front and back loaders
- Collect and empty bins from trade waste customers
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects
- Safely manoeuvre and operate a large rigid vehicle
- Maintain good communication and customer service skills
- Adhere to health and safety procedures
Requirements:
- Valid LGV/HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
- Valid Driver CPC / Driver Qualification Card
- Good understanding of road safety and vehicle safety
- Ability to complete daily vehicle checks and report defects
- Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph requirements
- Ability to safely manoeuvre and operate a large rigid vehicle
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Good awareness of health & safety procedures
- Previous experience driving a Front-End Loader (FEL) vehicle is essential
