As an Android Engineer at Monzo, you'll work on evolving our native mobile app, building polished user experiences, and balancing tested code with rapid iteration.
Our Mobile Engineering Team Our team of ~60 Android engineers works in small, interdisciplinary squads, focusing on customer outcomes and data-informed decisions.
Responsibilities
- Build and iterate on our Android app, used by over 11 million people
- Work with iOS Engineers, Backend Engineers, and others to achieve company goals
- Balance tested code with rapid iteration and delivery
- Contribute to our codebase, using tools like Kotlin, MVVM, and Compose
Requirements
- Experience with Kotlin and Android development
- Product mindset, focusing on customer outcomes
- Ability to work in a team with ambiguity
- Understanding of computer science principles
Nice to Have
- Experience shipping and iterating on apps in the Play Store
- Knowledge of data-informed decision-making
- Familiarity with our tech stack (RxJava, Retrofit, Moshi, etc.)
