Join us as a Band 8a Clinical Lead Speech and Language Therapist at Hammersmith Hospital, part of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, combining a substantial clinical role with leadership of our small, friendly site-based adult acute SLT team.
As a Clinical Lead Specialist SLT, you will manage a varied, specialist caseload of adults with complex swallowing and communication needs across all medical and surgical bed/wards. You will lead our 3.0 WTE team, support staff development, oversee quality and operational delivery, contribute to education and training, and drive service improvement and innovation.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide clinical and managerial leadership to inspire, motivate, and empower therapists in delivering excellent patient experience.
- Be responsible for day-to-day operational service planning and delivery of the therapy service.
- Support the clinical service lead with the development and delivery of innovative service improvement projects focused on improving quality of care and patient outcomes.
- Support staff development from a clinical and non-clinical perspective, acting as a good role model.
