Description
The Third-Party SaaS Solutions team at RBC partners with internal teams and critical third-party application vendors to deliver key client and employee services using SaaS.
As a senior software developer, you will work as part of an agile team to develop automation. You must be capable of being a sole contributor, working independently to deliver quality software solutions. Your focus will be on quality, maintainability, performance, and reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Autonomously code and troubleshoot Python and/or Java REST API and related software
- Follow software development industry standards and best practices
- Provide help to others, e.g., development, integration, and troubleshooting
- Contribute to application implementation solution designs as a senior member of the team
- Design, code, execute, and support various testing
- Play a key, hands-on role during environment promotions and other deployment activities
- Lead production and non-production issue investigations, troubleshooting, and support
Requirements:
- B.S. degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience in developing and supporting production-level software
- Experience with Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, and REST APIs
- Strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive
- Strong team-player with sharing knowledge and taking responsibility
