Description
Samsara's Customer Education team is seeking a Senior Instructional Designer to develop learning strategies and create engaging content for customers. The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years of experience in instructional design, knowledge of standard methodologies, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Define training requirements and learning goals for customers and partners
- Craft and build learning experiences in various formats (online, audio, video, in-app)
- Leverage AI-based content authoring and multimedia tools to develop content rapidly
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand customer needs and build effective content
- Own an assigned Samsara product area and maintain its curriculum
Requirements:
- 3-5+ years of experience in instructional design in a software/SaaS setting
- Knowledge of instructional design methodologies and proven ability to craft effective content
- Ability to communicate complex information to technical and non-technical audiences
- Collaboration and teamwork skills
- Attention to design aesthetics and visual detail
Nice to have:
- Experience with AI-driven content development and in-app training
- Familiarity with tools like Parta.io, Articulate, Camtasia, and Zoom
