Description
We are seeking a Customer and Trading Manager - Convenience to join our team in Pudsey, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom. As a Customer and Trading Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the store, often being the only manager on site with accountability for the full shop.
Job Responsibilities:
- Working closely with a small team of managers to ensure the store runs smoothly every day.
- Taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of the store, often being the only manager in with accountability for the full shop.
- Working alongside a team to complete all tasks, ensuring customers are served efficiently and safely.
- Managing performance and capability, conducting disciplinaries, and ensuring scheduling and pay are accurate.
- Occasionally helping another store in our close-knit network of convenience stores.
Requirements:
- Previous line management responsibilities in a fast-paced, operational environment.
- Experience providing brilliant customer service and coaching a team to do the same.
- Ability to deliver KPIs and other performance indicators.
- Experience managing disciplinaries, performance issues, and other employee relations issues.
- Operational leadership skills, with the ability to lead operations alone in the absence of more senior management.
Essential Criteria:
- A track record of delivering brilliant customer service and coaching colleagues to do the same.
- Experience leading a team in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
- Operational leadership skills, with experience taking responsibility for store operations in the absence of more senior managers.
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding KPIs.
- Experience managing employee relations issues, including performance and absence management.
