Description
We are seeking a Bank Specialist Nurse to join our team at Spire Shawfair Park Hospital in Edinburgh. As a Bank Registered Nurse in our Cath Lab, you will provide exemplary planned care for patients. You will undertake clinical procedures that require dexterity and accuracy, including scrubbing for complex interventional cardiology procedures and assisting with implantation of complex devices.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake clinical procedures in cardiology, such as scrubbing for complex interventional cardiology procedures and assisting with device implantation.
- Support non-invasive cardiology services in the Outpatient Department.
- Provide cardiology support to wards and act as a subject matter expert to other staff.
- Prepare the cardiology suite for procedures, ensuring equipment and supplies are available and in working order.
- Assist in running cardiology lists without supervision and supervise junior staff.
Requirements:
- Current NMC registration with no restrictions on practice.
- Substantial experience as an RN in a cardiology catheter lab environment.
- Capable and confident, with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Flexible approach to work and working patterns.
