Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Oncology Physiotherapist to join our team at Cromwell Hospital in Kensington, London. As a Specialist Oncology Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for providing an advanced standard of physiotherapy care to oncology and palliative care patients.
You will be an autonomous practitioner, carrying out clinical duties and managing patient referrals from various sources. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing specialist assessment and treatment programmes for patients with a range of conditions, including complex or chronic presentations
- Triaging and managing patient referrals from inpatients and outpatients
- Participating in discharge planning and liaising with external agencies to ensure safe and supportive care
- Establishing and maintaining efficient communication within the multi-disciplinary team
- Acting as a resource of specialist advice for patients, clients, and colleagues
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree or diploma in physiotherapy
- HPC registration
- CSP membership
- Proven experience and interest as an oncological physiotherapist
- Evidence of CPD specific to oncology
- Respiratory experience
- On-call experience
- Desirable: Lymphoedema qualification and experience of Lymphoedema management
