Starbucks Barista

Working as a Starbucks Barista at Target involves providing an exceptional guest experience by delivering high-quality food and beverages in a welcoming environment. You will be responsible for creating a friendly and inspiring atmosphere, greeting guests, and ensuring their needs are met. Your tasks will include preparing handcrafted beverages and food, managing inventory, maintaining a clean and organised workspace, and adhering to food safety guidelines.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver a consistent Starbucks experience for guests
• Provide a fresh and abundant shopping experience during all hours of operations
• Execute food and beverage processes, including replenishment, inventory accuracy, and food safety
• Maintain an inviting dining area for guests
• Engage with guests to meet and exceed their expectations
• Produce handcrafted beverages and food to specifications
• Follow all food safety requirements and complete cleaning tasks
• Locate and identify damaged or expired items and process according to best practices
• Ensure accurate inventory recording and execute sampling best practices
• Complete all required training requirements and certifications related to quality control of Starbucks products
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
• Work in a safe manner and comply with all safety policies and training
• Support guest services such as backup cashier, order pickup, and Drive-up

Requirements:

• Previous Starbucks or food service experience preferred but not required
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners
• Capability to work both independently and with a team
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes
• Ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
• Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues
• Interpret instructions, reports, and information
• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
• Climb up and down ladders if needed
• Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely
• Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work in environments with refrigeration and freezer temperatures
