Description
We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Craftsperson (Carpentry Bias) to join our Estates Maintenance Team at Whittington Hospital NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, and minor installation works across our hospital and community estate.
The post holder will undertake a wide range of carpentry, joinery, and general building fabric maintenance to ensure Trust buildings remain safe, compliant, and fit for purpose for patients, staff, and visitors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance routines and reactive maintenance works as instructed by the Supervisor
- Providing feedback to line management using various forms of communication
- Working independently and as part of a multi-skilled team, responding to planned and reactive maintenance requests
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and ensuring all work is completed safely in accordance with Health & Safety legislation, Trust policies, COSHH, and Permit to Work procedures
- Providing a professional and customer-focused service, communicating effectively with clinical and non-clinical staff
- Supporting emergency maintenance when required and participating in mandatory training
The salary for this post is £34,186 to £37,389 a year, per annum inclusive of HCAs. This is a permanent, full-time position, Band 4, Agenda for Change pay scheme.
