  • Maintain accurate and secure landowner, land and consultation records within project databases and GIS, ensuring all data is complete, consistent and maintained in accordance with project data security obligations.
  • Carry out systematic quality assurance (QA) checks on land referencing data, ownership records and plot schedules, maintaining clear audit records.
  • Use GIS tools (including ArcGIS Pro and/or QGIS) to create, edit and quality check spatial outputs including plot plans, ownership mapping and cadastral overlays.
  • Manage and track land referencing information within the project Common Data Environment (CDE).
  • Conduct site visits across Ireland to confirm ownership, arrange survey access and engage with landowners.
  • Support the Land team in securing and acquiring appropriate land rights, as well as assisting in the negotiation of Heads of Terms for easements, wayleaves, licences and permanent acquisitions.
  • Assist with statutory land acquisition processes, including compulsory acquisition documentation and notices.
  • Attend and contribute to internal and external project meetings, public consultation events and landowner engagement sessions as required.
  • Participation in our CPD-accredited Land Academy, developing your technical skills across land referencing, GIS, digital delivery, land law and compensation across Irish and UK jurisdictions, and working towards professional accreditation with SCSI, RICS, CAAV or an equivalent body.
  • UK and Ireland travel.

What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…

  • Degree in Geography, Land/Estate Management, Surveying, Agriculture or another relevant discipline, which has provided you with an understanding of the complexities of land use and ownership in Ireland and/or the UK.
  • Strong data management and IT skills, with excellent attention to detail and experience of QA checking, identifying errors and inconsistencies accurately and recording actions in a structured, auditable manner.

  • Good understanding of spatial and surveying needs and requirements.
  • Experience of working with mapping and a working knowledge of GIS tools, including the ability to create, edit and quality-check spatial outputs such as plot plans and cadastral overlays using Tailte Éireann datasets.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience engaging professionally with landowners, clients and the public, both verbally and in writing.
  • Some knowledge of property law, land registration via Tailte Éireann and awareness of compulsory acquisition or wayleave processes would be desirable.
