Description
Join Freshfields as a UI/UX Designer and Front-end Developer, working on exciting challenges at the intersection of law, technology, and business. You will design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for our digital platforms, collaborating with developers and product managers to understand product requirements and user needs.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement user interfaces for digital platforms
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand product requirements and user needs
- Conduct user research to optimize user experience
- Continuously improve user interfaces based on user feedback and requirements
- Implement production-ready front-end code within existing applications and shared component libraries
- Manage and optimize design assets and components to ensure consistency and maintainability
- Modify and adapt pre-existing styles to ensure a cohesive design approach across multiple apps
- Design and implement reusable interaction patterns for source-linked findings, high-density review tables, long-running workflow status, approval checkpoints, document handling, and downloadable work products
Experience and Skills
- Significant professional experience in UI/UX design and front-end development
- Strong hands-on experience with HTML, TailwindCSS, and vanilla JavaScript
- Experience working with git, code review workflows, and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with front-end testing and quality practices, including accessibility validation and cross-browser debugging
- Strong understanding of user interface design principles and the design process
- Ability to collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders
- Knowledge of software development principles and agile methodologies
Compensation
- For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York and California, a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role is $190,000 to $260,000.
