Description
We are seeking a new or upcoming graduate for our Risk Solutions Technology Graduate Program as an Entry Level Software Engineer. This 12-month program includes two six-month rotations, where you will gain hands-on experience in big data, AI, SRE, DevOps, and security engineering, as well as exposure to leading cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
Responsibilities:
- Write and review portions of detailed specifications for developing system components of simple complexity
- Implement successful development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews under senior-level engineers' guidance
- Operate in various development environments and collaborate with key stakeholders
- Complete simple bug fixes and apply knowledge of test-driven development
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for software development projects
- Resolve basic technical issues and stay updated on new technology developments
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of software development methodologies and data manipulation languages
- Understand data modeling principles and applicable development languages
Requirements:
- Graduation date between December 2026 and May 2027
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field of study
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in development languages such as Java/J2EE, Python, JavaScript, JSP, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows, Linux, and .Net
- Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
- Knowledge of data manipulation languages and data modeling principles
- Ability and desire to learn new processes and technologies
- Knowledge of test-driven development
