Description
GDIT is looking for a Network Computer Support Technician at McChord Air Force Base in the Tacoma, Washington area, who holds an active Secret Clearance.
The Network Computer Support Technician will provide maintenance and support for on-site ADCS systems and subsystems, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and monitor on-site and remote locations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing Tier 1 maintenance of on-site ADCS systems and subsystems
- Terminating ADCS circuits activated at the node point-of-presence (POP)
- Reporting failures to the on-site government contract representative
- Coordinating system downtime requirements with CAOC/ADS "Comm Focal Point (CFP)"
- Monitoring on-site and remote locations
- Performing additions, changes, and relocations of ADCS equipment
- Troubleshooting hardware and software problems and interconnectivity issues
- Installing communications/computer systems in accordance with installation specs
- Providing end-user support and training on communications systems/networks
- Administering network/cyber security policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Active Secret Level security clearance
- CompTIA IAT 8570 Level II (i.e.: Security+ CE) certification or higher OR 8140 equivalent
- AA/AS and 1-3 years' experience; or equivalent years in lieu of degree
- Onsite to McChord AFB in Tacoma, Washington
